(Aug, 23th 2009) It's one year later, but I ain't dead yet. Hopefully I'll find more time to improve the tool in the next weeks... Ok, forget the JOAL idea, as I don't have a Notebook with 5.1 sound :-)

===== General Information =====

The "GM Tool" is a simple tool written in Java to aid gamemasters in running their gaming sessions and mangaging their notes, handouts, player characters, etc. It was specifically designed to work on a small notebook (like the EEE PC, which is small enough not to use up all space on the gaming table), but will work on most computers/notebooks.

===== Features =====

  * Character list to view characters from (virtually) any system in a simple tree-view (customizable with Plugins)
  * Online-Support (store your characters, notes and pictures on your webspace, so you can download them everywhere directly into the tool)
  * Plugin system to add custom character sheets to view characters in a "smoother", system-specific way
  * Note list to prevent loose paper chaos
  * Image list with Thumbnails and the possibility to display the images on a 2nd screen (for example a video projector) with one click
  * Drawing onto the 2nd screen (for example to improvise location maps or mark specific parts of the image, etc.)
  * Possibility to add (moveable&resizable) tokens to displayed images (to indicate character positions, etc.)
  * "Fog of War" feature: The image can be displayed "hidden" until you reveal parts of it
  * Function to determinate distances and radiusses on your images/maps (including correct scaling)
  * MP3 list and simple MP3 playing function (with one click)
  * Prepare the lists and save them as a campaign file, that can be quickly loaded shortly before your session
  * Zip-Support: Box all your files for a session in one .zip file
  * Easy usage and highly customizable
  * Button to check if an update is available
  * Dice Roller (customizable for any system with Plugins)
